* <b>CSED 499 Project Proposal Guideline</b> </br></br>

* The following should be included in your proposal. </br></br>

1.  Cover page with the title of the project, student name, student number, lab name and supervising professor's name </br></br> 

2.  Project Description </br>
&nbsp;&nbsp; - Goal: What are you going to do in this project? </br>
&nbsp;&nbsp; - Purpose: Why are you developing the tool or studying the topic? </br>
&nbsp;&nbsp; - Method: How are you going to achieve your goal? </br></br>

3.  If more than 1 student is doing the project (at most 2 students), please describe the following </br>
&nbsp;&nbsp; - Why this project needs to be done by more than 1 student </br>
&nbsp;&nbsp; - How the tasks will be divided between the students. </br></br>

4.  Project Schedule</br>
&nbsp;&nbsp; - Provide a time schedule for the project with the following phases </br>
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A. information gathering & understanding the topic </br>
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; B. requirements analysis </br>
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; C. high-level design </br>
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; D. detailed design </br>
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; E. prototype implementation </br>
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; F. testing and debugging </br>
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; G. poster presentation and demo to the CSE professors and students </br>
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; H. submitting final report </br></br>

Submit your proposal (PPT print) in class, upload it to the LMS.</br></br>

*** Prepare the proposal using Powerpoint in 10 or less pages!</br>
*** Each presentation should be within <b>15 minutes (10 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for QnA)</b>.</br>
*** The selection of presentation schedule will be made by inserting your name beside the schedule on a First-Come-First-Served (FCFS) basis at the following Google doc site: </br>
